IMPACT

Considering accessibility in the design of a cake shop website has a significant impact on the overall user experience. By implementing accessibility features, such as color contrast, alt text, keyboard accessibility, and clear content, the website becomes more inclusive and accessible to a wider range of users. This ensures that individuals with disabilities, such as visual impairments or mobility limitations, can navigate and engage with the website effectively. By prioritizing accessibility, the cake shop can reach a broader audience and provide equal access to their products and services.

WHAT I LEARNED

Through designing an accessible cake shop website, I learned the importance of considering diverse user needs and creating an inclusive digital experience. I gained knowledge about various accessibility guidelines and techniques, such as color contrast ratios, proper use of alt text, keyboard navigation, and content clarity. I also learned to prioritize usability and inclusivity in the design process, thinking beyond visual aesthetics. Understanding the impact of accessibility on user engagement and satisfaction, I now recognize the significance of accessibility in creating user-centered designs. Going forward, I will continue to apply these accessibility principles and strive to make all my design projects accessible to a wider audience.
